Julie started personal training after she left the Canadian Light Infantry Armed Forces in 1997. She frequently works in conjunction with your physio, physician and other health care practitioners to keep you feeling and looking your best.

Having a background in competitive gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, pilates, and acupressure gives her a very thorough perspective on what optimal health is, which she utilizes when evaluating new personal trainers and fitness instructors, her own personal training clients and work place wellness clients. She loves philosophy and can start an argument in an empty house. Julie really cares about you and your longevity.

Julie’s clients get results because she keeps it real, relevant, and flexible. She helps her clients cut through misinformation and distraction found in the mainstream media about fitness. She will also keep you accountable, meet you where you are, take you as far as you want to go.

Joseph Pilates called it “contrology.” In his book Return to Life Through Contrology, he defined his work as a way to completely and thoroughly unify the body, mind and spirit. His principles, which we now call the principles of Pilates, are the foundation for his approach to physical fitness.


She routinely incorporates different exercises, e.g. Pilates, yoga and martial arts, into my program to make it interesting and challenging. The fact I still enjoy going to the gym and am able to play tennis 4-5 times a week speaks volumes about her as a trainer!
